Buck
A male rat is called a buck, in the same fashion as a male rabbit.
Buck rats are generally calmer and lazier than does as they grow older, although they occasionally suffer from hormonal aggression. Their adult weight is around 500 to 800 grams. Bucks are more likely than does to spot urine mark, and have a greater tendency to suffer from kidney failure and hind leg weakness as they age.
