Ingredients
Only the rice left by the time the photo was taken
-
Rice
-
Peas
-
Assorted fruit and veg such as apple, banana, carrot.
-
Pasta
Method
I make this up for 30+ rats, so you may have to adjust the quantities down a little.
-
First of all, half a cup of rice (I use Basmati, but the rats don't care) goes into the boiling water, together with the peas.
-
Tip in any end-of-the-bag bits of pasta.
-
Chop up your fruit and veg and pop it in, except for the banana.
-
Cook for a couple of minutes, then turn off the heat.
-
The rice will continue to expand as it cools. Add banana at this point.
-
When it's warm but not hot, dole out into bowls and give it to the rats, keeping your fingers well out of the way.
