wiki was originally conceived in England, so has the British English spelling of this ancient Greek word. Rattypedia is the American English spelling of the same word. There are many words which have the æ combination, such as encyclopædia, anæmia, anæthesia, pædiatric and mediæval. It is now common practice to replace the æ with ae, and we have followed this convention in the Rattypaedia.
